(Another) visual essay about the intersection between memory and photography. Out of my frustration and fascination with failed images caused by technical and accidental errors, I began to question the ability of photography to capture and preserve memory. First, I elaborated on a hypothetical story from the abstractions generated by those frustrated images and later intervened directly in some of the slides. In this way, errors produced by the camera are revealed as memories that are altered and reinterpreted over time, becoming visual metaphors of memory: fragile, imperfect and intimate.

"Exposed" is a compendium of portraits made from intimacy and complicity. It features people who expose themselves to the camera to reflect the love with which they are looked at.This is a debut work born from the conviction that we live in a time of extreme violence and lack of understanding, in which egomaniacal creations are in excess and perspectives observing life with gratitude and empathy are lacking. This is a collage in different textures of Super8, a love letter that wants to project a healing gaze that dissolves individualism and restores the capacity for human connection.

An older man returns home after some time away and learns to live in solitude. His neighbour offers to help him with chores around the house, but through the space and the forgotten objects around the flat, the weight of memory breaks through, discovering past conflicts and creating problems in their relationship.

Galician writer Xavier Queipo is getting ready to move back to his homeland after more than 30 years of living in Brussels. He empties his house and puts his memories into boxes, which the removal company loads onto a truck bound for Spain. At the same time, Galician filmmaker Hugo Amoedo, who is also based in Brussels, wonders whether he'll ever return to his homeland while he teaches his son to ride a bike, ponders his dreams, struggles to develop ideas for films, and argues with the clerks at the local post office.

Once upon a time, a group of stars came to bathe in the Atlantic. While they shone and shimmered in the dark waters, another lone star twinkled in solitude in the sky. Its purpose was different: at the night's end, the star Rosalía would descend to her homeland to be reunited with her beloved.
