During the 1980s, a convent in Lizaso (Navarra, Spain) was home to the eccentric Rainbow Community. The bland walls of the building were decorated with huge floral motifs and its rooms hosted large gatherings where people experimented with cathartic new age rituals. Today, the building is inhabited by cloistered monks and there are barely any traces left from those years. In San Simón 62, the filmmakers revisit the place after hearing their mother’s stories: trying to shake off the aftertaste of Franco's regime and face the personal and political changes taking place in Spain in the 1980s, they retired to the Rainbow Community.
