Works of any genre and nationality. A section that focuses on the search for new filmmaking signatures. Pieces that can hardly be catalogued in specific genres, and that dilute the traditional idea of cinema by exploring innovative avenues that are close to video art, documentary or avant-garde cinema.

As an intelligent elevator discovers the world, we get acquainted with the invisible links between extreme heights (the mega-tall tower: speculative object and symbol for social, cultural and economical domination) and extreme depths (the deep mine: a place of natural wealth extraction and colonial exploitation). As doubts, fears and desire emerge within the elevator's consciousness, it becomes entangled in a constant fight to justify its own existence.

The guiding principle leads to associated questions in terms of the medium's limitations and, as the title suggests, its dissolution. Metaphorically, this concerns the idea of the curtain as emblematic of the cinematic and its veil of illusion that never conclusively closes but rather relentlessly opens.

ROTOЯ | Sonic Body is a multimedia work by artist collective NO1 (Peter Kutin, Patrik Lechner, Mathias Lenz). At the center of the video is the eponymous sculpture —the rotor: a sonic body in the shape of a loudspeaker that revolves around its own axis at changing speeds. From the loudspeakers one can hear a minimalist composition, its sounds modulated by the speed of the rotation.

Night, like mourning, remakes space through absence: forms at the threshold of perception heighten sound and touch. When someone dies there is a pull towards the concrete and tangible, but disbelief creates a world of unreliable objects. Figure Minus Fact draws and redefines coordinates between spaces, senses, and objects; groping in the dark, desiring to see something that’s not there. Spaces become evident yet deceptive in a subjectless portrait of loss.
