The camera pans over a desolate cosmic landscape and focuses on procession of strange creatures, possibly aliens. The group's foreman chooses a suitable site, and the entire colony begins digging a pit. They encounter several natural disasters that ruin their efforts, but the colonists always manage to recover and continue working. We can’t help but sympathise... Until the next scene takes us from the alien landscape back to everyday life.

After the initial shock, the group resume their game, but Gerda has a hard time hiding. When clouds appear and cover Gerda's neck like a scarf, Gerda loses sight of the group. Another game of hide-and-seek now begins…
