Some time ago, in Curtocircuíto we gathered a group of photographers and filmmakers together to engage in a discussion about an idea: the only difference between a photograph and a filmed shot is time, the way to represent it. Four years later, we proposed an informal conversation about this same concern between four Galician photographers who, in one way or another, have alternated photographic work with audiovisual work. Lúa Ribeira, the third Spaniard in history nominated to be a member of the Magnum agency; Nicolás Combarro, the first Galician to have a solo exhibition at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris; Iván Nespereira, winner of the 2018 PhotoEspaña Award for the Best Self-Published Photography Book; and Nacho Alonso, probably the most interesting Galician author of his generation and paradigm of the artist outside the exhibition circuits; will discuss their processes, their fears and their findings.
